Hmm - then it IS a Collapsing Universe....for it no longer contains a sandpit in Essex every story...

At a guess the answer to WHY its being filmed in America is in the statement about extra CGI effects - American Money!!!

At risk of being beaten to death with sonic screwdrivers, I would have to say it's a pretty much foregone conclusion that New Who will eventually go off the air. Indeed I think it could almost be called a "cheat" to air only one season each year... less now... so it could be argued that the year without a season is no more than the year the Movie came out. If the Movie had been successful there would have been three of them, after all..

So when New New Who returns, it's safe to say a new team of production staff will be on the case, and so, it will have a new look...

IMHO

Sorry, but I have absolutely no idea what you're trying to say...

I'm saying yes, Dr. Who WILL be re-imagined, once it has been re-introduced to the public from having been taken off air in the future.

Not so hard to understand...

What were you trying to imply about the "cheat"?

I think you guys have got re-imagined and revamped mixed up. A re-imagining would be a reboot that doesn't necessarily follow the same path as the original. Think about Smallville, the US version of The Office or Tim Burton's Planet of the Apes.

There's no good reason to do that to Doctor Who because the concept of regeneration and the constant flow of new companions makes such an idea redundant.

I'm trying to say that in my opinion, it is a fairly easy way to make subtle changes to the "re-imagining" of so called "new Who" by introducing thoses changes during the lull between one series and the next when the gap between one series and the next is the best part of two calendar seasons.

OK, I may be wrong, but IMHO the Doctor seems to have changed his character rather radically during the last two years.... and I would not like to rely soley on the calming influence of a certain Ms. Tyler...

It's cheating at the least, to change the Doctor's character during calendar seasons...
