Jonny and Alison are the prime examples of Equity card-carrying "semiprofessional performers", as they're only too keen to boast on their extensive CVs.....

PS. how interesting that Alison previously starred as "Katie" in "YES"

”

good grief, Alison 's had 10 years training as a performer

I'm sure I read that Jade was in an episode of The Bill or Casualty when she was younger

They seemed to have clamped down on this for BB4 as I don't recall seeing any stories about the HMs previous form
”

Jon Tickle was on ' Blockbuster's' with his brother.
Scott wrote a play for Radio 4:
Ray did some DJ work in Ibiza.

Liza was a contestant in Beuaty Pagents

That sounds like an excellent plan Mes. Have you ever played any games where the object is to win?

BB4's Cameron - BAFTA-award winning TV presenter brother.

I'm sure BB3s Sunita had an Equity card too.

BB3's Kate was the Ministry of Sound poster girl and had done amateur acting bits.

BB2's Dean had been in Indie-rock bands for years.

BB4s Nush was in the final of national magazine modelling competition Face of 1998.

BB4's Tania is a veteran of the wanabee circuit having auditioned for everything from Brookside to MTV previously. Famous ex-boyfriends.

BB4's Anoushka had an agent and had done some modelling.

Any more? I'm starting to think this theory has credibility.

Sunita had already made a feature film which was released to some critical acclaim and won prizes at film festivals

She did make reference to this during her brief stay in the house

I'm amazed that you're surprised that people enter a television game show for the opportunity to further their careers. Some people might sit at home and sneer at them while others might applaud their ambition.

Here's an interesting thread

Have any of the peeps that said yes had second thoughts? Is there any people (New or old FMs) now interested?

Top tip: don't mention DigitalSpy on your application - it's bound to get you sifted out.

We haven't had a Welsh winner yet...... ”

You hit the nail on the head Edna. The reason Ray didn't win Big Brother was because they couldn't let another Irish person win it. They stopped voting in Ireland 30 mins before the rest of the UK. They were valuable votes Ray lost out on. I feel sorry for him. He lost out on alot of money, which he was the only one going to give some of it to charity, because of Endemol bureauracy.....A Scot had to win it!!!
Next year if you're Welsh or coloured, you're going to win!!

Devon County Branch of UNISON

"Language is constantly developing and some words which used to be the accepted norm no longer are. Different individuals also have different views and what is acceptable to one may not be acceptable to others. For example, thirty years ago the term "coloured" was commonly regarded as less offensive than "black". Nowadays, however, "Black" is used not as a description of skin colour but as a political term which refers to a whole range of people of different ethnic origins who share a common experience of racial discrimination in Britain. Consequently the term "coloured", which has very specific associations with the Apartheid regime in South Africa, is now less acceptable and should generally be avoided (although some individuals may still prefer to be identified by this term). Generally people won't object to you asking them how they would wish to be described, so if in doubt, check it out with the individuals concerned. "
