Magners League on Setanta Ireland/ Setanta 2

Cardiff v. Glasgow

Daire O'Brien with Emmett Byrne & Reggie Corrigan in the studio

Commentary from John Forrest & Liam Toland.

Anyone know anything about John Forrest. Seems to be a new addition to Setanta this season. Not sure what I think of him yet

The usual mob of Gareth Charles and Jonathan Davies on 'normal' commentary with Lyn Davies and Derwyn Jones for Welsh language speakers for BBC 2 Wales / Red Button.

BBC's coverage of the indoor Athletics

Host - Jonathan Edwards with Colin "knock knock" Jackson

Commentators - Steve Cram, Paul Dickenson and Steve Backley

Think that is the first time I have heard Backley on the beeb, he sounds good. No Stuart Storey. Big mistake.

He has quite a few seasons of schools rugby and French Top 14 behind him, so he is experienced...

Boogity boogity boogity!

Although I much preferred it when the full US programme plus studio was shown, it's still a great way to round off a sporting weekend

I do love the pre race show but i like the fact that the Sky guys chat in breaks. I just wish Sky could show the pre show and still chat in the breaks.

He certainly seemed to get on well with Liam Toland this weekend! They're quite a good combination.

To round up last weekends Magners action:

Dragons v. Ulster- John Forrest & Peter McKenna
Ospreys v. Connacht- Connor Morris & Killian Keane (I think)

And Guinness Premiership on ITV:

Sale v. Bristol- Martin Gillingham
Quins v. Gloucester- Martin Gillingham
Bath v. Irish- Simon Ward

Ali Connolly reporting on the other 3 matches.

There's no UK IP blocking going on, so it's Hugh Cahill and David Corkery doing the Club International between Ireland and England on rte.ie.

Just watching the USA vs Switzerland Davis Cup tie on Sky Sports Xtra. Don't have any specific comment about the commentators...but the picture quality on some of the cameras seems rather like squinting through a frosted window pane, it's horrible.

National Football League (GAA) on Setanta Ireland

Daire O'Brien presenting with Eugene McGee & Paul Earley

Tyrone v. Galway: Mike Finnerty & Ray Silke.

With Daire doing the GAA, anyone know who's presenting the Rugby over on Setanta 1?

Jill Douglas is at Ravenhill (although I don't know whether they used someone different for the earlier Dragons V Munster 'clash').
