They will be using Steve Backley judging by the press release

Unfortunately the lack of Stuart Storey will hurt the coverage badly for me, HD or no HD!

Looks like they will be a commentator light but Steve Backley seems to be part of the team.

I'll go with John Inverdale on R5 who always does a fantastic job with this.
Sad to see they don't seem to use the excellent Mike Whittingham any more though.

Steve Backley down to be on 5 Live and the BBC. I guess he will only do the field events when Jonathan Edwards isnt around. So just 2 track commentators now. They used to use Cram and Storey with Dickinson doing a few races too.

Not a big fan of the sport, but they do seem to work very well together. Particular Stevo and Phil Clarke

May explain why he's not in Berlin for Eurosport then, that and he may be covering the Middlesex 7's for Sky today

Edit: It's Tim Hutchings and Tim Caple commentating for Eurosport

Stuart Storey leading the Hyde Park Triathlon Coverage (BBC1). Should have been Matt Chilton - he usually calls the Triathlon races. He's also listed as the commentator on the EPG - hope everything's okay with Matt. Anyone heard anything?

Thought it would have been surprising if they didn't use him for the World Champs

The athletics team are normally on site for major events like the World's, so I'm slightly assuming as I didn't really watch a huge amount this morning. I'm sure they'll be some clues, as to whether they are or not, in their commentary throughout the week.

Watching the BBC coverage Denise Lewis has got her "Britney" microphone almost up her nose

The stunning Lolo Jones was co hosting yesterday, first time in a while I'd checked out their coverage

I'm still not conviced with Crammy doing the 100 meters, great bloke that he is, to me he just doesn't cut it

Shame the beeb couldn't lure Alan Parry back
