Not that I know of, he didn't do any of the Seve Trophy last week as far as I've read on here.

They may possibly have given him time off for the rest of the year now. I've not been able to find any info on him at all on the web either which is frustrating.

Indeed it was. I've tried to free up so much space on my PVR's today that I lost track of what day it is. I think of what coverage Eurosport did show it was Jonathan Edwards as the 'Master of Ceremonies', no idea about who the female host with him was.

You should also never apologise for being a pedant.

Tenpin Bowling-Weber Cup (Sky Sports)

Presenter: Tony Wrighton with Guy Caminsky
Commentators: Nick Halling and Cass Edwards
Reporter: Rachel Brooks

Always interesting to see who sky "dump" on the Weber Cup. In the past it has usually been Andy Goldstein presenting, except for the year he did Soccer AM when Paul Boardman did it. Quite surprised to see Wrighton there. Caminsky was an excellent analyst, although my sister did say "Why is Graeme Smith talking about bowling?" Also it was the first time I'd seen Brooks since the end of Setanta. Bless her she tried, but clearly didn't have the foggiest about the game.

Still, another enjoyable weekend of tenpin, something I only watch once a year for the weber cup.

I wondered why Nick Halling wasn't on the NFL coverage on Sunday. David Tuckman was in his place

Good to see Dick Stockton still getting a run out, some don't like him, but I still do. Fox have shockingly kept dropping him down the pecking order, but that may be as much to do with him apparently going to work with Matt Millen on college football next year.

Not sure if there's been any word yet on who will take Joe Buck's place at Fox when he goes to do the baseball post-season.

Also, i'm led to believe that this week Gus Johnson will be calling the Ravens game that is on Sky, I just hope it doesn't get close at the end!!

Cricket

T20 Champions League - Royal Challengers Bangalore v Cape Cobras (British Eurosport)

Commentators: Harsha Bhogle, Ravi Shastri, Simon Doull, Ian Bishop, Mike Haysman and Pommie Mbangwa

Eurosport doing the sensible thing and taking the ESPN Star Sports comms, so it's the same lot as the Champions Trophy and World T20 on Sky.

How often does that happen over the season? Skys picks meaning they get both CBS and Fox's #1 commentary teams.

I've read on another site that it will be Thom Brennaman.

PDC World Grand Prix, Sky Sports

Dave Clark presenting from the Citywest Hotel, Dublin alongside Rod Harrington

Commentators: Sid Waddell, Dave Lanning, John Gwynne, Stuart Pyke, Nigel Pearson and (I think) Rod Studd

Last night, on Sky Sports' coverage of Worcester v Montpellier in the Amlin Challenge Cup, the commentator was Martin Gillingham. He was joined by an Irish co-commentator called (I think) Jerome, but I didn't catch his surname.

Anyone know who commentated on Gloucester v Newport Gwent Dragons on the red button for Sky Sports tonight?

The co-comm was Ieuan Evans, I think the commentator was Will Chignell (though it could have been Miles Harrison), I was watching the Leinster game and occasionally flicking to this.

Interesting choice, he'a a decent commentator, but always gave me the impression during the Wembley game a couple of years ago that he never really wanted to be there.

Strangely enough I was thinking the same thing on Sunday. Getting both the No. 1 teams doesn't really happen that often, especially late in the season when recently Sky have tended to cover more NFC games. However there does seem to be more of a effort on the part of CBS and Fox to have their #1 and #2 pairings split up this year so that one will do an early Kick off and one will do the later. It may mean that we get more instances like this before the postseason.

Thanks for the details.

I could be wrong, but I don't think they'd use Miles Harrison (their number one commentator) on a red button game.

Doubleheader considerations perhaps?

CBS and Fox essentially alternate who gets to show two games to most of the country. Since there's almost always more early games than later games, the doubleheader network will try to schedule the game with the most national appeal in the later slot and those are the games that tend to get the #1 commentary team. Meanwhile having most games being in the early slot means that it's more likely to have the main game for the singleheader network in that early slot (and it's probably easier to manage the network if you keep the number of markets getting a late game to a minimum).

It's certainly happened more in that way this season. Previously early season double-headers hasn't always meant the #1 team working on the later game, but it seems to have done this season.

It maybe that there's been a change of thinking as this season has also seen more games scheduled for the later kick-off even on a networks single-header day. For instance last week the Jets game at New Orleans was a 4:05ET start when in previous years it would have been a 1:00ET start as it was a single header day for CBS.

Miles Harrison appears to be doing Cardiff vs. Harlequins, but I can't tell who he's doing it with. Maybe Ieaun Evans?

Simon Lazenby at the RDS with Paul Wallace & Michael Lynagh.

Most inept referring display I've seen for some time

Still, Bob Casey should have 50 caps for Ireland at this stage.

Not sure who did the early Challenge Cup game of Castres v. Toloun, but it was a good game

I find it very hard to tell the difference between Chignell & Harrison. At least Robson's strong Ulster accent is always easily recognisible

Alex Payne was presenting from Franklins Gardens with Will Greenwood & Tyrone Howe. Ian McGeechan arrived later for the Northampton v. Munster match.
