Wimbledon 2010 under way with Sue Barker opening the coverage with John McEnroe and Lindsay Davenport.

There doesn't seem to have been a press pack for the tournament this year but I wouldn't expect any surprises in terms of commentators.

Some early mathces

Baltacha v Martic Sam Smith & Virginia Wade
Clijsters v Camerin Andrew Castle & Tracy Austin
Georges v Bartoli Louise Pleming & Liz Smylie

You know Shaun I was thinking I had missed the press pack because i havent seen one either

Few more to add to Shauns list

Federer V Falla - David Mercer and John McEnroe
Cilic V F Mayer - Jason Goodall ( i think ) and Mark Cox
Monfils V L Mayer - Chris Bowers ( going solo )
Anderson V Davydenko - Chris Bradnam and Greg Rusedski

You're right Darren, it is Jason Goodall with Mark Cox, first time I think that Goodall's been let out of the Hawkeye Analyst position at Wimbledon to do some proper commentary.

Schiavone v Dushevina - Simon Reed & Sam Smith
South v Kulikova - Barry Davies & Jo Durie

To add to the above - Andrew Castle and John Lloyd doing Ram v Roddick

Dick Enberg and Darren Cahill covered Federer vs. Falla for ESPN.

Continuing Wimbledon 2010

Robson v Jankovic - Mark Petchey & Tracy Austin
Djokovic v Rochus - Barry Davies & Tim Henman
Hewitt v Gonzalez - David Mercer & Peter Fleming
Robredo v Luczak - Nick Mullins (solo I think)
Berdych v Golubev - Ronald McIntosh (Wimbldon debut?) & Mark Cox
Henin v Seveastova - Jason Goodall & Virginia Wade
V Williams v De Los Rios - Simon Reed & Lindsay Davenport

Judging by twitter Andrew Cotter is on his way from the US Open Golf so the only missing regulars would be Matt Chilton and Chris Bailey

I just flicked on the red button and heard Matt Chilton at the end of a game so he is there too

Chris Bailey lives in Australia now so he may not come over, but he usually does. I think he is the best of the lead BBC commentators so lets hope so.

The press release is now on the website and Bailey isn't listed so I suspect you're right that he couldn't make it over this year.

He may be working for an other. I like Bailey, good commentator. I think Petchey is being groomed to be the number 2 behind Castle

Chris Bailey was hosting World Football News on ONE HD that show has since finished up and I have not seen him on anything else

Why would the BBC need a number 2?

Petchey is also Skys number one, so i doubt it.

A bit OT but I have noticed ITV4 have started showing trailers for the Tour de France, stating that they will be showing every stage live. I think in previous years they have only shown the weekend stages live with highlights on weekdays

Last year at least, they showed the rest of the stages on the red button, apart from any that were potentially really good. Though with ITV4 showing IPL cricket every day for 2 months earlier this year, it shouldn't be a problem to have le Tour on the main channel and not dumped behind the red button.

I never know whether to watch Eurosport or ITV's coverage of the race. Eurosport have the cycling all year round, and their coverage is pretty good so it feels a bit like I'm dumping them when the main race comes around. Plus James Richardson is very good, I hope he is presenting this year. If I had HD, I'd probably go for Eurosport, but I don't.

ITV take an absolute ton of ad breaks during a stage, BUT there is no better cycling commentator than Phil Liggett, and Gary Imlach is a cracking presenter. I'll end up watching it on ITV I'd say, but flicking over regularly to Eurosport.

The amount of breaks on ITV are incredibly annoying especially during the highlights show. I think it'll be Eurosport for me again this year mainly because of the HD coverage.

Presenting from the Fox Sports studios was Brendon Julian, Damien Fleming and Mark Waugh commentators were done by Sky

I did see much of Channel 9 coverage but from what I saw it was disgusting they missed the first hour of play because they were showing Stosur loose her match at Wimbledon they crossed to the match around about the 12th over and to my knowledge they did not even show the finish of the game as I flicked from Fox late in the match and they were showing "Today" there morning news program

I think it may well be his Wimbledon debut, I didn't expect him to do tennis, but what I've heard of it so far is excellent. Ronald is a vastly under-rated commentator, and a very versatile one. It's a shame he always gets the crappy jobs.

Yes, but he only gets given the field events when they just briefly cut to them during the long races.

Dick Enberg and Cliff Drysdale are at center court for Djokovic/Dent.

Hannah Storm, Pam Shriver, Brad Gilbert, and Patrick McEnroe "commentating" on this insane Isner/Mahut match. All 4 of them are inexcusably bad.

I've perfected time travel. In the year 2080 we have flying cars, teleportation and this match is still going on

Ronald McIntosh and Greg Rusedski for BBC

Boris Becker and Andrew Castle on Federer's match

Don't have access to it, but I'm guessing one will be Pat Cash

Don't know, it's definitely not Pat Cash.

One of them spoke to the other and called him Roger, I wonder if they are taking comms from Fox Sports/Channel 9

Edit: I think it's Roger Rasheed
