I'm pleased Kasprowicz is going home and I think Jackers needs a break sometime soon as well - it can't be good for somebody of 65 years of age to be taking flights around India every few days for about 3 months if you include the World Cup should he stay till the end of the tournament . Shonali will hope that she doesn't get stuck in India during her break like Mandira Bedi did last year during the volcanic ash crisis

What is the crack with Eurosport and the snooker ? They seem to drag in Phil Yates and Alan McManus together for a few frames but when the match on the other table finishes, the commentators take over on the game Yates and McManus were covering. Seems an odd set up

Well, as one that rated James Allen when he calmed down 2003 onwards it was a shame he didn't carry over in 2009. His knowledge was there and his enthusiasm was real.

James often goes to the F1 Gp's for written journalism purposes on his website etc. He often does the F1/FOM Press conference too.

For the last few years also he has been Pit Lane reporter for ONE HD in Australia for their F1 coverage.

It was Ben Evans, with Mark Werrell.

Yes that was an odd one last night, I'd like to know the reasoning too. Especially since I quite enjoy Yates and McManus together. They'd commentated on most of the Ding-Bingham final session so it would have been more apt to let them finish than give it over to the two who did O'Sullivan-Murphy.

I have to say I'm surprised Mark Werrell has never (to my knowledge) done any TV. Whenever I've heard him at a circuit he's always struck me as being a very good commentator.

Surprised he's dropped off the radar as a commentator really. I know he was associated with the unpopular ITV coverage but then so was Brundle and he's now the BBC's top man! With all the other motor sports around I'd have thought he would still be out there, but perhaps he does just prefer to stay involved with F1 in a lower profile role rather than commentating on touring cars/sportscars/bikes etc.

Wonder why the move to a rather cramped looking studio over the last couple of days

Yet another Southern African commentator introduced today

They said it was the Royal Wedding so presumably ITV will be presenting their coverage from the studio the IPL have been using. NB: Alistair Campbell is Zimbabwean not South African

The normal cricket studio is being used for wedding coverage, though not ITV's wedding coverage.

Wow, that looks good. Will enjoy that, thank you. Few years too late in my opinion but good of the BBC to show a tribute at last to the man, who in my eyes, is the greatest sporting commentator ever
