Thomson DTI-6300
CraigT
25-08-2008
Hi all,

I've just purchased the 250Gb version of the above box (£99 from Tesco), I was swayed by the "free" Setanta Sports 1 for the Premier League season (£20 set up cost).

It's replaced my Thomson DHD-4000, a simple job as it uses all the same cables. Which was nice!

I have a problem with the RF signal though, my Sony Bravia S3000 is connected to the RF out and the Scart of this box, but I'm struggling to receive lots of digital channels on the TV (that I previously could get with my DHD-4000 connected) for example ITV1 it's as if the DTI-6300 is blocking the signal to my TV.

Am I the only one getting this problem? If there's any more details needed just ask...

Thanks,

Craig

It's possible that the RF Modulator is blocking it....have you tried turning it off, as you only need the loop through feature as you are connecting via Scart

Thanks, I will try turning the RF modulator off to see if it makes any difference.

Ideally I would like to use the RF modulator, to send the signal via an distribution amplifier to the other TVs in the house. (I have done this previously with my older Thomson box). So any other suggestions would still be welcomed.

Thanks,

Craig

You could set the RF Modulator to a different frequency, well away from any of the digital or analogue ones broadcast in your area...ie, something very low in the 20's, or high in the 60's
