T68i icon for not receiving incoming calls on permanently
I got a SIM update from Orange today and now I cant seem to get rid of the little icon over the signal strength bars telling me I cant receive incoming calls.
I have had incoming calls today - so it is not actually doing anything - but I cant get rid of it. In a vain hope I did a reset (where is the warning stating that I will lose all my numbers? Now I have lost them all ), this has not solved the problem. My phone is also being quite slow (despite being at 'factory settings'). Anyone else get a SIM update today? No idea what its for! I have had the phone since february, so its not even the update you get when you first register the phone. |

Um, what little symbol above the signal strength bars? If you mean the blue thing that varies between either a line or a triangle then thats GPRS signal strength (well at least it is on my T-Mobile T68i). When my T68 loses signal nowt happens apart from losing all the signal bars, and if its really bad then I lose the network name from the top of the display.
Or at least that would what would normally happen if my fecking T68i wasn't away for repair for the second time. Only had the flaming thing a few weeks, started acting up, was sent away, got it back after seven weeks, still knackered, and has been with Sony for the last week. |

I have the T68i on Orange - no Sim Update here - were you expecting one? If not contact Orange and explain what's happened.
The warning that a reset will loose all the numbers in in the proper sony ericsson manual - although it didn't actually loose them on my old one The blue triangle above the signal streght is indeed GPRS - this teands to die before signal stregth. My signal stregth graph has gone weird - partly orange, part;y green and the last bar is broken (you can see the wallpaper)

Hmmm, the booklet clearly shows that a solid colour triangle thingy means "You cannot receive any incoming calls" - though if you guys reckon thats GPRS (combined with the fact that I can receive calls) - then I'm happy*.
Cheers ![]() *not at the fact that I am having to contact everyone and get them to send me their phone numbers - and those are just the ones I have email addresses for - some will be lost forever! Lesson learnt - get some sort of PC connectivity and back the f*cking thing up! |

Cheers ![]() page 6-2 shows you the correct meaning, but says its in a different place to where it actually is I like the way Orange change the manuals and mange to add soooo many errors (my J70e manual was even worse - describeing how to use non-existant features!) Your right about that.
My needed needed a COM to USB adapter for his new laptop, and he needed to do somthing that day. So he went over to PC World, and the item was £40-£50.. reluctantly he had to buy it. A few days later he found a similar item for £5.00 on 'buy now' on ebay.co.uk... Complete rip-off ! |
