The Girl Who Never Was (Paul McGann)

I've just finished listening to the above Big Finish audio and have to say that I was pleasently surprised how good it was. And what a good ending! I am now saving up for The Condemned.
Has anybody else heard it?

Yeah it was quite good might listen to it again actually because i only heard it once when it very first come out, it was good to hear just McGann and India Fisher together. I always loved their pairing but felt that after C'rizz joined it was never quite the same.

It was a shame that the cover had a big spoiler on it
Spoiler
Cybermen
but i suppose that was already mentioned a few times in DWM but i had avoided all mention until i bought the CD. I do try and avoid spoilers before i listen to the CDs but they make it so hard sometimes.

The ending was great but The Condemned was a bit of a disappointment for me but I never like anything Eddie Robson does wheras everyone else I know think he is brilliant. For example i thought Human Resources was a pile of pants but didn't it come near the top if not top of the DWM poll.

This was one of my first and I really enjoyed it. It's a shame they're so expensive though. They are cheaper on Amazon however.
I agree completely about the spoiler. That got to me a bit. It would have been a nice suprise otherwise.

Returning enemies and foes used to be very rare when Gary Russell was in charge of BF but since Nick Briggs took over there has been a big change in the philosophy about using past elements of the show.

I used to moan that there was never enough retuning elements from the old series these days i moan that there are too many returning elements.
Fickle as ever.

Seriously though people moan about the new series overusing the Daleks Big Finish seem to always have a CYberman or Dalek story in the schedule. Suppose those release sell better than the others so you can't really blame them!

As your new to the range their is so much good stuff to look up, I know they are expensive but they are worth a dip. I would personally recommend Spare Parts, Jubilee and Chimes of Midnight (Ironic that I have criticised BF for using the Daleks and Cybermen too often then recommended two plays they appear in!)
