How do you tune in a DVD Recorder?

Please can anyone help me to tune in my Panasonic DMR-55 I had problems with it, so unplugged it and retuned it. I could have chosen manual tune or auto-tune. I wouldn't have a clue how to do it manually and have lost the instructions. So I just pressed auto-tune and it was done in a couple of minutes.

Now it's tuned in fine for when I'm actually watching tv, but if I record a programme it records Welsh channels instead of the channel I've set it for.

I'm missing my favourite programmes now. I'd be very grateful for your advice.

I think that you have picked up unwanted channels from an adjacent transmitter and they are now in the wrong order. Return to the Tuning menu and this time select Manual. You should now see a list of channels tuned in and it is now a matter of selecting the appropriate channels and either moving or deleting them, until you are satisfied they are in the correct order.

Thanks Adrian. I'm still not sure how to do that. How does it show if they're tuned in? What do you do to select the right channels, and what do you do to move or delete them?

Hi Maisy

I think you can find the list of channels that are tuned in via..

Functions-Setup-Tuning-Manual

the first three buttons on the bottom left of your remote correspond to the buttons marked Delete, Add, Move on the bottom left of your screen and as I said previously select the channels that you wish to either move or delete until you are satisfied with the channel order. If you can tell me which transmitter you are receiving from then I can find out the channel numbers for you and advise you of the correct order.

Hi Maisy, if you go to this link you should be able to download the manual.

Thanks very much for your help and advice. I'll have a go at tuning it in better.
