well earlier i was, as always checking my emails on my iphone, all working fine!

then i checked them again and nothing! all i get is that a connection to the server failed, all the time! yet it works fine on my desktop.

also safari isnt working i get the spinning thing up the top but it just stays blank. and says the server has stopped responding. its weird, it was working perfect up until 1pm!

any ideas please would be most appreciated!!! ever since 2.0.2. this phones been screwed up.

also i have done a restore through itunes, also have restored the settings

Is it an unlocked / jailbroken unit or a legit O2 contract handset?

Because there are known bugs with the jailbroken 2.0.2 firmware.

Can't you go back to 2.0.1 until this is fixed?

Have you still got the 2.0.1 Firmware on your iMac?

to check::

HD => Users => YourAccount => Library => iTunes => iPhone Software Updates

If the previous (2.0.1) Firmware is still there then you need to do the following::

1. First carry out a sync before doing anything

2. Put your iPhone into recovery mode (shut down the unit then hold the power button & the home buttons down for 10 secs then release the power button but still hold the home button for another 10 secs)

3. iTunes should detect the iPhone in recovery mode then ask if you wish to restore, click yes. But DO NOT just click restore. Hold the ALT key down (option key) then click restore, it should then ask you to chose where your restore Firmware is located.

4. Select the previous (2.0.1) and Bingo you will downgrade your unit to 2.0.1

5. Disclaimer::: This works on my Unlocked Jailbroken iPhone.

Good Luck.
