I think Eoghan has the potential to do very well in the competition. The judges may give the opportunity for a 14 or 15 year old lad to make it as a finalist this year. 15 year old Emily Nakanda made it as one of the final 12 last year but was thrown off the show due to previous behaviour, of course.

The judges know how well the similar aged George Sampson has done and will want to replicate that on X Factor. I went to see the 'Britain's Got Talent' live show and the reception that George got was phenomenal. I've never seen so many fans waiting outside a concert to meet a performer before.

I Can't wait to see more of him, hope he makes the tour!

I liked his choices of songs for his audition too. - 'Home' and 'Tears in Heaven'

I thought he was good; but I just can't imagine an album selling superstar called Eoghan Quigg

He can't help his name! Maybe he could change it by Deedpoll.

I thought that there was another thread for him.

I think he'll drop his surname and be known by just his Christian name.

We haven't seen his competition but I wouldn't be suprised to see him in the live shows.

I like him and wish him well, but I'm a bit p'd by the attempt to dupe us by Simon and Co.

Louis going "I wish someone good would come along" sid in the same unconvincing tone that a cinderrella would use musing at the fireplace. Then we had Simon telling him that he had a habit of just going straight into the song and all that stuff about waiting to go back to his school.
So that was the first that the judges saw of him - I think not!!

Still that's don to Simon and Co and they clearly see something special about him and I would tend to agree. He isn't "there" yet but I think he can get "there".

Yes, I thought that too. The judges had obviously heard him singing before he did the 'Home' song.

There was another thread for him but it was changed to an appreciation thread to keep out the nasties!

Is it too early to say I want him to win?

You've not seen all the acts yet but he can be up there as your favourite so far!

Although he can sing abit, i really dont think that he deserves a place in the final 12 on the show! Like all he is there for is for the young girls and mums. His voice is no where near as strong as it needs to be. Im not slagging him just stating that he doesnt deserve it over other 16-24 lads that have been shown on the x factor.

Spoiler-Do not read if you don't want to know. The final 12 have been revealed this morning. In the boys category I'm pleased that Scott Bruton and Austin Drage have made it through to the live shows. However, I'm concerned that Eoghan Quigg is to join them as I consider him far to young for this show. He should be at school attending to his studies for his GCSE exam, not filling his mind with thoughts of stardom that probably won't happen.

i agree, however i think that he simply is average, no where near good enough. He should go back to londonderry and study at school, because he wont be as big as shayne or leon.

shayne has already had 2 arena tours!
A number one album - platinum
A number 2 album - also platinum (which was released only last year)
The only x factor winner to have a million selling uk single so far! 5 top 40 hits of which 4 were top 6! lol
Shayne is currently making his 3rd album.

Whilst leon has already had a number 1 single and like leona the year before has taken a good time away to make a great album to release.

If the spoilers are true, I'll go for this lad as being my favourite young male in the comp.

This is an Appreciation Thread. If you want to discuss Shayne and Leon, then go discuss it somewhere else. Same for those who think Eoghan is "average".

I made an Appreciation Thread last night for him. Wonder where it went, lol.

I didn't want to sound fussy. I was annoyed that people would come into an Appreciation Thread and start discussing Shayne, Leon and Eoghan's so-called "average" ability.

I'm looking forward to seeing more as well.

No its a totally fair point appreciation threads are for appreciating not calling someone average or discussing other artists.
I just felt i needed to correct the person re: Leon playing at Asda.
