Wonder what Simon will give him to sing? It'd be interesting to see what his strength/weaknesses are, if nerves affect him etc. I love the first live shows, but I always worry because *any* of them could be out first because we don't know what they're like singing live.

It is quite a strong year this year, which obviously doesn't help. I think one of the girl groups will go first but after that it's hard to tell.

I prefer Eoghan over Alex. Alex might have more presence but Eoghan is amazing for a 16 year old with no training/coaching.

hey all think Eoghan did well with his song, so hopefully he gets thru, think some of the other boys werent quite as good, namely Alan, don't think he sang his song well at all

I just watched the repeat of Xtra Factor and apparently Simon was very, very dissapointed with Eoghan. I'm sure he said "today was exhausting, but the frontrunner (Eoghan) was terrible).

so pleased for him that he got thru I think hes going to do well. People are expecting him because hes young to crack, but i think hes gonna surprise a lot of people he go to the finals of the Irish Stars in the Eyes two years ago, so he does have some experience

I'm a fan of him but i've thought of a point i'd like to make: Is this the Eoghan Quigg Appeciation Thread or the Eoghan Quigg's Face Appreciation thread.

My point here is that do you just like him cause of how he looks or would you still like him if he was ugly but had the same voice? It does seem quite fake that you could be backing soembody so much and yet if he had a different face you suddenly wouldn't be interested.
