I have won a Samsung A800 from Chocollect... Can anyone tell me if this phone will be locked to a network or unlocked?

It says on the side of the box:

GSM Terminal for use in public GSM 900, 1800 and/or 1900 Networks.

The GSM terminal thing means it is Tri-Band

This does not mean to say its unlocked however... you will just have to try 2 different sim cards in it.... simple really

Congrats on winning, which network card did it come with, if it is Vodafone then it is more likely to be unlocked, but saying that if you find it is locked to a network it can be unlocked by many high street mobile phone stores (non-chain) for around tenner. I used to have this phone and it is exactly what I did!
