I hope it's not John Sargeant. I think he won't take himself to seriously and is very funny. A lot of "glamor" with the models and actress. I can't stand Jessie Wallace or Lisa Snowdon.

An extra two weeks, hope we don't get bored. Is the results show going to be on Sunday again? I hope not.

I reckon it'll be Don and Lilia...

John Sergeant may escape because of comedy value; at least until week 2

I think it will be John.

I don't think it will be Don and Lilia, I think these two will suprise us

Yes the results show is on Sunday

Hope its Andrew Castle who goes first it would do his ego the power of good.

Think it could be John Sergeant. Lilia tends to do wonders with choreography to suit her partner which could keep Don in for a few weeks.

Bruce and Tess. Unless they have a new routine to impress us this year.

I can't see Don going first. I think John may stay for a week like Kate Garraway for comedy reasons. Someone dull and boring might go so the one that plays it too safe and is in the middle of the final table will go.

Week 1 is often a bit odd as a lot will be down to dancer and celeb fanbase plus possible sympathy vote.

I would say first to go will be a new professional. So we have John S, Mark F or Heather.

I reckon John will get sympathy, Mark will be just too watchable to lose and therefore, my money will be on Heather and Brian leaving first..........unless they end up in the top five on judges marks. If they do then John to be first off in my mind.

It won't be Heather, the female celebs aren't eliminated in week one

Could be any of Don, John, Phil, Andrew, Mark, Gary, Austin.

Tom I think is safe for obvious reasons!

Don and John are obvious contenders for the bottom spot.

Andrew is in trouble dancing with Ola- she's a lot smaller than him, so ballroom hold is going to be a challenge, and tall men don't tend to be good at latin even if they are sportsmen.

Mark has the same height problem but at least he's dancing with someone nearer his own height, and if they do ballroom could be quite elegant (and Hayley is a ballroom specialist I think)

I don't think Phil will quite want to commit to it, he'll be too jokey. A lot of men go this way to start with.

If Gary listens to Karen he should be ok, certainly looks to be in good shape physically. But I'm not sure I see him coping with Karen being in charge.

As one of the younger contestants I'd expect Austin to be down for a latin dance in the first round, but Erin's latin choreography isn't up to the latin pros, so they might struggle. Also rugby players don't have the track record of cricketers- Matt Dawson was great, but Kenny was .

Aw that answers my next question. So the gents first . Could you imagine Gary Rhodes face if it was him. The judges should be in good form after their pay rise.

i think John might be in the bottom two but perhaps his personality will see him through. I can see Don struggling.

Of course, first week is a half celeb week. I go for Heather on first girly week and John or Don on week 1.

It usually isn't the obvious person out in week 1 and usually not the worst (except for Quentin Wilson!) so the obvious subjects are often safe.

Personally I'd guess at Phil although I don't know why. Just a gut feeling (watch him turn out to be brilliant now!)

I'm thinking Phil or Andrew.

Austin, Mark and Tom all have the cute factor going on, plus are either already talented dancers (Tom - no not a dig at him, have no problem with him having some previous experience) or have the sports person mentality of 'I will do this'

Don I expect to be quite elegant, especially if he gets ballroom, and John will have the comedy factor on his side.

Although Andrew obviously was a sportsman, 1. I don't remember him being a particularly elegant, Roger Federer, type player .2. He has the curse of GMTV against him

Phil, don't think he'll take it seriously enough, especially if he's doing Latin first.

John Sargeant is this years equiv. to the other previous jokers such as Dennis Taylor , Willie Thorne or Logan.

He's in it to make the others look good and provide laughs.

I think Cherie Lunghi'll get the axe quickly unless she's more Lesley Garrett than Esther Rantzen Not enough draw with younger folks and not really good-looking enough for a MILF vote either.

As for the blokes, I think John S will come an absolute cropper and not even be funny enough to merit being kept in - I'm thinking David Dickinson...

*bump*

Changed my mind...Christine Bleakley is hanging off *has blank* her partner's neck like a drunken sloth in the promo pic.

Doesn't bode well for her abilities!

I think that the first male to go will be Gary or Don.

I just hope it's not one of the oldies again. They add a bit of comedy and/or class to the show and I wish the viewers would show them a bit more respect.

Actually, factoring in the dance-off, I think it will definitely be either John or Don in the first week. I can't see both of them avoiding the bottom two, and I can't see the judges saving them over anyone else.

I can. If they:

- look like they're trying really hard and enjoying it.

- are better than people thought.

- show a good personality.

- are slated by the judges.

then they could easily be voted in by the public at the expense of those in the middle of the board.

I've seen Don Warrington on the stage and he does have a natural grace in his movement, which might actually bode very well for the dancing. I'm a bit worried about Cherie as in the new video she does a lot less than the rest of the ladies. Mind you if she gets on well with James and works hard she could stay for a few weeks. I've never felt that Heather was a natural mover, so she may well be one of the first to go, also Jessie, who isn't as popular as she used to be.

Mind you I think that this year it could be more about who are the most popular professionals rather than the celebrities.

I'm surprised that people don't like Andrew Castle. I always think he comes across really well. The Daily Mail described him as "smarmy" today.

That's true. I saw an interview with John last night, and he was quite funny (and Kristina is very sweet). So I guess if he was funny and Don was unexpectedly good, there might be a surprising bottom two.

I agree. They could well earn the sympathy vote!

Wicked, but I can't help agreeing! Whatever he dances like, he will no doubt be saved week after week by the gmtv viewers.

I think John S could be first out, which I think will be a shame 'cos I really like Kristina. Hopefully she will be featured in plenty of the pro group dances though.
