Bought one of these IDTV's from Aldi, and , although I'm satified with the HD and DTV (Freeview) performance I have one niggling problem
When any device connected to the Scart is switched on, and despite screen format being 16:9, the display defaults to 4:3??? Necessitating the need to enter the menu to manually change it back to "Full".
What I need to know is how to enter the "Service" menu to set the default value(s) to 16:9 or "FULL" so the damn set doesn't need to be changed every time scart is accessed. Anyone have any ideas??

What even makes you think there would be such a setting on the service menu?.

Presumably the external device is telling the set to switch back to 4:3?.

If there's no menu option on your TV to disable auto-switching, you're probably stuffed.

Regarding this:- what about the settings of the DVD player- Is that set to 16:9?

I had similar issue last year and cured it by changeing settings on my DVD player.....
