I love this movie. The stunt work is amazing and so is the music.

I have the DVD of this and was thrilled that they left the full intermission in. Long films in those days were edited with the intermission in mind and I'd never fast forward through it.

Is the blu-ray the same?

The intermission is the shorter version (about 20 seconds long). The deleted scenes and documentary from the DVD are included though.

I'm still longing for a fully restored roadshow version to appear one day. I used to own the Laserdisc set and that's probably as close as I'll ever get.

Picked up Wall*E on blu-ray at half price. Already had it on DVD but was intrigued by the blu-ray exclusive special features especially the Cine-Explore feature with director Andrew Stanton. Turns out it was basically the audio commentary (also on the DVD) with some additional pictures to illustrate what he was saying. Despite the obvious upgrade in picture/sound quality was still ever-so-slightly disappointed.

Wreck it Ralph on blu-ray steelbook. Shame it doesn't come out until December, but God bless Zavvi for doing Disney steelbooks. I love my steelbooks.

I posted sometime ago about the fact I got reservior dogs on blu-ray. Does anybody else have it? And is it just me or is the sound quality disappointing? I had to turn the TV up quite a bit to actually hear it (not often I have to do that with blu-rays)!

Argo - cost £1.99 from my local B&M store. They also had The Dark Knight Rises for the same price but it's not even worth that IMO.

Very dated but if you enjoy studio bound 70's VT shows you'll probably find something to enjoy in most of them even if its only the ATV jingle at the start or the novelty of seeing an ATV drama of the 70's with no episodes missing and all in colour”

I finally got around to watching the first play, 'Easterman', today. I actually did find it enjoyable, and I thought that Trevor Howard gave a terrific performance. Not much of a sting in the tail, though.

I am now looking forward to watching the rest of them, which hasn't been the case with some tv boxsets I've tried. Then I'll have to decide whether to keep it or trade it back in.

Gilliam's Brazil & Serenity on bluray for £3 each at my local Oxfam. I was particularly pleased with Serenity as it hadn't even been opened, still had the packaging on it, and a steel tin edition to boot
The Brazil transfer is superb btw, with a good documentary too. The extras on Serenity are phenomenal, loads to plough through.
