Bone Tomahawk. Very good and I was pleased I took the 'risk' on the purchase to get this on Blu Ray.

Sadly for my bank balance, I've become acquainted with CEX this year...

I got Heat for 50p from CeX. Someone borrowed my DVD and when I eventually got it back I was given the case with a Jennifer Aniston rom-com in it! Couldn't get it in my local HMV - they said a special edition might be coming out "sometime", so the DVD will do until then.

Interesting. I wonder if the UK stores will also close.

Anyway, my last DVD purchase was The Munsters season one.”

Just to reiterate that HMV's on street presence in the ROI will close. It's online business will remain open to customers but the website will turned into an online movie streaming service to compete with Irish Netflix.

There will 45 job losses over the closure in the ROI. One physical store will remain open in Belfast in Northern Ireland.

All of HMV's stores in the ROI are having a closing down sale with 30% off everything in them.

While I was in there last Friday; the cheapest Blu-rays I got there were as follows.

Mrs Browns Boys D'Movie (Used copy) for €4 reduced to €2.80
The Hobbit :The Battle of the Five Armies (Brand new) for €5 reduced to €3.50.

Cheers for the info., Seamus. Long time since I've bought anything from HMV, even though there's a large HMV shop nearby.

Anyway, I bought.......

Bull Durham + Best Shot (aka Hoosiers) + Midnight Sting - Mainly bought this for Midnight Sting which I haven't seen since I rented it on VHS (in 1993 ). 99p from a Scope charity shop.

The Glimmer Man - Only seen this once, and that was at the cinema (1996, again, time flies etc.). 50p, CeX.

Come and See (15, 1985) - I got the 2-disc DVD from BHF for only £2.99. It's rare and OOP (the cheapest on Amazon is £12 used) so I scored a pretty good deal with that.

I haven't seen the film yet but it's meant to be excellent and it's been on my bucket list for a while - it's just the price that had put me off of buying it.

Batman vs Superman, ordered from Tesco direct and got Man of Steel for free.
I already had MoS but as I was buying the 3D version of BvS, MoS was 3D too.

Just finished watching Batman V Superman blu ray much improved with the added scenes, certainly the Batman fight scenes are more violent but there is a lot of extra "character"added to the film. Really enjoyed it - very underated IMO.

Dad's Army: The Complete Collection - £8.99, British Heart Foundation charity shop. It's still sealed. I already have a few of the inidividual series on DVD, but I couldn't resist buying this anyway.

I bought The Losers on Blu-ray. Also trying to find a UK copy of Before We Go on Blu-ray but I can't find one anywhere, not sure it was ever released here.

Have 2 copies of Civil War on Amazon pre-order, one with a Captain America sleeve, one with Iron Man. They're not both for me, mine is the Cap one!

Colors
Crimson Field (tv series)
Croupier
Dog Soldiers
Flight of the Intruder
Leaving Las Vegas
The Passion of the Christ
Roy Orbison: Live at Austin City Limits
Scream (Trilogy boxset)

They cost £3 (ie 3 for £1) from the local RSPCA shop. The only ones I've already seen are 'Flight of the Intruder' and the first 'Scream' film, but that was back when they first came out on VHS.
