These plastic plug pin protecters on new items
Germany bound
01-09-2008
With most people now trying to reduce waste
These plastic plug pin protectors are they of any use?
We just take the protectors off, and then what do we do with them?
Wait till we move house, and then try to find said
protectors
Surely the manufacturers could have plug holes in the electrical item

These plug protectors, I would have thought get dumped
as soon as thier removed from the packaging

Another waste item that I dislike is polystyrene in the packaging, surely the moulded card board could be used, which can also be recycled.

Many items do use moulded cardboard, but it's no where near as good as polystyrene - you get far more damaged stock with the cardboard.

Look for the recycling logo on the packaging, looks like three arrows in a triangular formation. Usually has a number inside the triangle indicating the type of material used.

A lot of the plastic now used in packaging can be recycled.
