Not a chance.
I never felt optical based recording was fit to wipe the boots of a twin tuner DVR and certainly the cost of a Blu recorder and blank media is excessive and if DRM is put into place to prevent PAY content from recording or only relying on internal tuners then they are even more useless.
If the comment about FTA being the driving force is correct then the UK may have to wait a while before we see a variant for us where as in France their DTT HD arrives this year.
