What would you say are the albums which you could quite happily listen to every day for the rest of your life and never get tired of them, and your reasons why?

Mine would be

Space - Spiders: My reason for this one is because each song is so varied from the last, and the lyrics are brilliant! Its also one of my childhood albums. My friends older sister had it and i always used to listen to it, and the lyrics can be kinda funny and clever.

Linkin Park - Meteora: The production on this album is outstanding. All the sounds and instruments weve in and out of each other perfectly and the levels have been perfected. Not to mention all their songs have catchy melodies.

Prodigy - Fat of the land: Each song again is unique, rather than 12 or so similar songs. Each one makes you feel energetic and the beats are all spot on.

"Pet Sounds" by The Beach Boys, I have listened to this album almost every day for the last 25 years! Because not only is it the greatest album ever recorded, but because each time you listen to it you find something new.

"Blonde On Blonde" by Bob Dylan, an astounding album that gets better with age.

I could name more... but these two to start are just fine.

What's the Story Morning Glory by Oasis.

Why?

Oasis were good in those days. Oasis, now, are not

Again like the others i have to agree with that one.

Also

Timeless is the name of an album by Sarah Brightman - is that what you meant? (cos if you did I've got it and you can have it)

I have to agree with Whats The story (Morning Glory), by Oasis. It still sounds superb and brings back so many memories.

Another one for me has to be U2's Achtung Baby. I'd never really liked them until I got that album and now I think they are great. Some cracking songs on it too, including of the best songs of all time, One. Superb

Another classic album that still sounds pretty good is Brothers In Arms by Dire Straits. Slap the cd in the machine, and the songs still damn good, esp Money for Nothing, and ofcourse the meandering solo to begin Your latest Trick. Brilliant and let's face it, never surpassed by the band.

Suede - Dog Man Star - so much going off, lovely orchestral bits, epic songs, and for me, almost all the tracks stir up loads of emotions!

Blur - Parklife - I just love it, tracks from it are often heard still, and it was really the peak of the band's career.

Gene - Olympian - A real new sound at the time, (please no Smiths comparisons!! Good as they were...), and still sound really fresh up against indie of today.

The Smiths - The Smiths
So influential

Dire Straits - Brothers in Arms
Few albums have such a diverse range of music

U2 - The Joshua Tree
The first three tracks always blow me away

The Beatles - Sgt Pepper
Still manages to sound quite contemporary

Marillion - Clutching at Straws
Superb lyrics and Marillion really find their sound

Elton John--Goodbye Yellow Brick Road

My older brother had this album back in the days when albums really WERE albums. I read all the lyrics, looked at the illustrations over and over

Neil Young - After the Goldrush: I could listen to this every day and never get sick of it.

Radiohead - Kid A: Changed the way I think about music. Completely opened my eyes to different styles of music, plus the album has really good songs (despite what everyone else says).
