iPod range is rumoured to be updated this month but no one knows what they will charge for them.

If the new range launches on 9th September, will I be able to order one that day?

You might be able to, no one knows to be honest. I can't see why Apple wouldn't have a pre-order option on their website though.

Usually you can order the day of the press release but no one knows for sure.

I was able to order my Classic last year the day of the announcement so you may be able to but you never know.

They usually shut down the link to the store while the keynote speech goes on and then when it's over the store opens with the new gear on it and you can place an order.

I think it would be best to either go to your local apple store or go online on or just after the release date to make sure u get the new one.

engadget.com . . . has articles on all the launches.

The new iPod touch advert. . . is basically a gaming advert - they're going right after Nintendo.

I'm thinking of buying an iTouch, and just found thanks to this thread they've released a new iTouch, what are the differences in the two may I ask?

And gaming on the iTouch sounds good, but how with only one button on the front screen?

Does anyone know or hazard a guess as to when Apple will release a 64gb ipod touch model?

I have a 30GB ipod, its nearly getting full with music alone, the only thing stopping me upgrading is the size of the flash drive of the iPod touch.

Anyone know when a larger capacity model can be made available?

Its a touch screen, hence the name touch.

I kinda figured, it will be very weird touching the screen though!

They're very expensive though, according to my iTunes I have 18.71GB/3183 of songs, and thats without videos, so I'd most probably have to go for the 32GB, unless there's away of compressing the song more-so...

iTunes 8 is out, has Genius feature and list all your music with album artwork... No more endless lists of tracks... Very cool
