Probably due to the exchange rate changing, pound is weaker against the dollar

Bah, they have withdrawn the 160Gb. That is going in the wrong direction, I need more capacity not less.

I hate UK prices

Price for a 16gb touch is $299 which works out around £170 but yet on the UK apple store the 16gb is £219.

Near £50 difference

Some of the difference is accounted for by the fact that the UK prices include VAT whereas the US prices are yet to have sales tax added.

People seem to always forget that our prices already include tax. So if you were to add our tax to the USA price to make it fair it would be £199.42

A £20 difference not £50
Harry, it sucks

What are the chances of getting an old (3rd gen) Nano cheap?
Never really been sucked in by the whole iPod hype, but if i could pick up a 4GB square Nano for like £70 (reduced from £99) I might think about it.
Is it likely? What will happen to the old ones???

Certainly, this kind of surplus obsolete stock is often sent out to second-tier dealers who specialise in this kind of thing. Check out e-bay or amazon, there will likely be some there.

Its a pity the Classic only comes in the 2 colours, I love that orange colour but a nano is just too small for all the music and films i have.

I'm surprised they still sell classics, do people really need to carry there whole music collection everywhere with them?

If it were me I would get a 8GB Touch, really nice price.

P.S. I went for a 16GB iPhone yet have never used over half the capacity yet.

I'm thinking this might be the final generation of Classic or maybe the penultimate one, I have a feeling that apple will be shifting over to the ipod touch as there flagship device as the tech in it becomes more mainstream and cheaper.

I was thinking about getting an iphone but personally i like having my phone and ipod as seperate devices, i once lost my phone and then a couple of months later lost my ipod, if i had lost them both at the same time I think my head might have exploded

There is advantages, for example I can connect to my iTunes Library and my mates iTunes libraries and play songs from it over Edge or 3G.

I would see little point in an mp3 player that didn't hold all my music. If I have to choose a subset of my music before I go out, I'll use my phone for that.

I've got 600GB of music, movies, podcasts and TV Shows, by effective syncing I am never short of music. I have thousands of songs with me at any one time which is more than enough. Once you cut out the stuff you don't listen to or don't actually like (a lot of album tracks) the capacity required really reduces.

I do use my phone which has access to all my music on my home PC as well as what's on it

Most people do not carry all there music about, hence why the nano is Apples best seller.

I am so annoyed, I didn't think the classics would be more expensive, i only need 80gb. I wish I'd bought the older one last week.
