TVGuide.com features Big Brother 11 in it's fall schedule, mid season, so it looks like Big Brother will once again be putting in a showing during the winter.

Fantastic news.

You know at this rate by the time they get to the tenth anniversary of BB USA they will have clocked up 13 previous seasons. Do you think they will have an all winners Big Brother Allstars.

Doubt they'll have an all winners series because a lot of the winners were crap housemates, plus some of them wouldn't want to do it again, especially Dr Will who I don't think wants anything to do with BB now.

They'll probably do another All-Stars though for BB14 featuring housemates from BB8, 9, 10, 11, 12 and 13.

Dr Will still wants to be known and admired in the BB-World, hence why he set up a competition on his website involving the BBUS spinoff talk show (Basically, he's offering a prize for the best prank call into House Calls: The Big Brother Talk Show involving the words 'chill' and 'town', and it's not really funny at all, although Gretchen, the host, handles them well )

Ah I was wondering why those calls kept coming through.

Maybe they can go for a christianity edition and start it at Easter?
They already did Valentines Day

That's kind of how I feel about this current series, but you know they'll manage to dredge up one or two.

Really enjoyed this series. When does everyone reckon it'll air? Just after Christmas?

Terrible news.
My analogy would be UKs BB7 and 8 where they put an enormous amount of HMs in the house and in BB7 at least half of them were pointless and dull to view.
Doubling the amount of HMs shown in a year imo will lead to a weaker mix of HMs from the pool of applicants.

Also its overkill.
the ratings for BBUSA9 were poor were they not?
If you feed BB into peoples homes for almost half of every year in the states it will tire very quickly and destroy the show.
I would also imagine the budget would be split between the two seasons rather than cbs doubling the budget for the show.

I really hated the winter series,it was not just the awful mix of hms but the whole tone of the series felt cheap and gimmicky.

Dumb idea imho, but then again im not the one running the channel so who am I to say if its a bad idea.

I agree with SG-1.

The last 'winter edition' was very tacky and obviously slung together at the last minute.

I despair if we're left with a house full of all the cast-offs who failed to make it onto this years cycle... as if Jerry, Keesha etc wasnt bad enough!!

I think Renny's only chance is if Jerry declines, or something were to happen to him between now and then, to be honest.

He's a lot more gimmicky and memorable than she is, not that this makes him a great housemate or anything.

I think the reason BB9 sucked so much was that it was thrown together very last minute, had an awful twist and the worst cast ever.

I'm sure if they are decided now that they are having a winter series it will give them more time to plan and hopefully put together at least a semi-decent cast.

I've enjoyed BB10 so as long as it's as good then I'm fine with two series per year.

There will be no winter edition. At the Big Brother 10 wrap party, Alison Grodner stated that you will see them back for BB11 next 'summer'.

The only chance of seeing a winter edition is if the talked about actors strike goes ahead.

I know. I think TV Guide just put it on their site just in case. I mean it could still happen if the actors strike goes ahead, but otherwise BB11 will be next July.

With Natalie and her "God squad", BB9 was the Christianity edition.

LOS ANGELES, Sept. 22 (UPI) -- The reality show "Big Brother" will be back for an 11th edition, CBS announced Monday.

The 10th edition of the show averaged nearly 7 million viewers this summer, the network said.

The new season is to begin in the summer of 2009.

It's kind of good actually, two seasons of BB a year is overkill. BB9 was the worst season ever and had fairly low ratings.

I say just stick to making one really quality season a year, rather than two bad ones.
