I know in officials the performance show will top 10m but last nights The X Factor Final was bound to be so popular given the surge in interest this year.

Next weeks Strictly final should rate around the same it usually does, 12m or so.

for it to get such low ratings against girls aloud is terrible!!
Its not like the SCD results clashed with x factor.
I do think part of the reason why it did badly was because of the farce they made of the leaderboard people probably didnt see the point in watching because of that/

Well here we are, the Final for 2008.

Anyone care to make some ratings predictions...

It isn't going to hit the heights of last weeks X-Factor Finale and I'm slightly uncertain about peoples trust in the show following last weekends mishap but I'm expecting solid 11m+ viewers and maybe a bit more.

What say ye people, come along, don't be shy its only for fun on the final night

Think the viewing figures will be pretty high as there isnt much competition coming from anything really watchable on ITV.

Figures of just over 7 million and 9 million for a semi final,are low, especially for Strictly,let's not forget they were pulling in over 11 million viewers half way through this series!!!!
Last year the final drew an audience of over 12 million and I will be very surprised if it makes that this time,even though there is no competition from any other channel.
We don't even have to ask why the figures are low,anyone who's visited these boards knows why,and IMO there is now distrust of the actual show,also the final will be lacklustre. I'll be pleased, when the whole fiasco that this series has been finishes,and we can all move on. I've loved this show from the very beginning,but am not fussed about tomorrow nights final.
Programme production teams never learn ,you really do dismiss the public at your peril.

I've been looking through the forum since the winning moment and opinion seems mixed as to whether it was as good a final as previous years but I'm guessing the overnight figures should still be quite high...

20DEC main show and results show figures anyone?

The second show averaged 12.2m and peaked at 13m, SCD's highest ever ratings and well above last years 11.6m for the final.

The BBC shouldn't gave a damn about ratings since it is a public broadcasting company. They should be spending our money on quality programming.
