As inspired by another poster, there isn't a general thread to say who we think will win SCD6.

So come on. Let's not argue. Who do you think will raise the fabled glitterball above their heads on December 20th?

For what it's worth, I'm going for Jodie and Ian, with an honourable mention to Rachel and Vincent and Tom and Camilla.

What do you think?

I'll go with Rachel or Tom too!...Any one of maybe 3 or 4 others to join them in the final

I think maybe Lisa Snowden, if she's as good as Brendan claims

Generally the initial favourites don't live up to expectations, so I'm not sure about Rachel or Tom. I wouldn't be surprised to see either or both of them do well though.

I'd rather reserve judgement until I actually see them dance. After all, who would have thought last year that Matt and Gethin would end up as high as they got and that Gabby would get knocked out early. I guess I always thought Alesha would go far though

Me too... but I do love to speculate in the meantime

Just think if we'd had this thread in series three, we'd probably all have been saying 'Fiona's young and fit, I bet she'll be in the final... and Siobhan being an actress will be great at performance. No point worrying about the men, they never do well!'

I thought that Alesha and Matt D were certs for the final before they'd danced a step tbh

I think they'll be at least one Gabbygate situation again this year though, and any one of the better dancers could be on the wrong end of it...

Ask me after the first show when I've seen them in action.......

Would like to see Don do well though - I loved him in Rising Damp!

Oh what the heck.......if all my wishes were granted I would have Cherie & James in the final.......Would love to see her do well against all the odds......have a sneaky feeling she is going to be just as good as some of the younger ones........but her lack of soap watchers and celeb mag readers support will let her down.

Early impressions - selected entirely on appearance.

Jodie Kidd and Ian.
Lisa Snowdon and Brendan
I would love to see Heather Small do well and Christine Beakley looks the part.

I think in the early stages John Sergeant will be mauled by the judges - and become this year's Bill Turnbull.

Not sure about Don Warrington - I think he could look really good on the dance floor, but age might tell against him.

If I carry on I'll have hedged my bets by mentioning everyone.

I'd love to see them do well actually, I toyed with the idea of putting a tenner on her early on but I decided she's a little bit too much of an outsider!

But, I do think she could be a dark horse... and she could get some unexpected support, my dad is such a big fan of hers I wouldn't be surprised to catch him voting for her at some stage!

Rachel will come 4th or 3rd; she wont win...

Tom Chambers will have a good chance; however the beginning favourite rarely wins; he may be too good.

I think the females all seem to have a better chance imo... The Cutler may do the double...

I'm going for Christina Bleakley and Matthew Cutler... other countries have seen the pro do it twice in a row

Love to speculate...

I can see Jessie and Darren being finalists as well as Ola and Andrew ( I'm not sure why but something is giving me a good feeling about this partnership)

Would love to see Lilia and Don

and I think Cherie will be a darkhorse too

Just for fun - Austin to win and Gary or Andrew out first

Riight;
I'm saying Rachel and Vincent may get the Emma effect.
Jodie and Ian could do well but is she too gangly and is she going to be liked?

Then I think Lisa may have a chance but it could just all be the hype Kelly-style, would like to see Tom obviously do well aswell, and Christine.

Forgot to mention Mark Foster - I would love him to do well - but his pro is new and doesn't have the fan base of a Lilia or Karen etc. and Mark's sport, swimming, doesn't attract huge support - still who knows?

If he makes it to the first latin dance those huge biceps could cause some eye opening gulping amongst the ladies.

Gary and Karen to win

Enjoying the speculation........

can't decide between Gillian and Anton (? I KNOW!) or Lisa and Brendan........

but if I could choose, I would love Matthew Cutler to do the double!

is fun to speculate! but its always surprising isn't it when you actually watch them dance......there are always things you just don't expect........is all in the fun of it!

happy series to all!

Impossible to say without seeing any of them dance, but can I join the 'I think Cherie Lunghi will surprise us all by how well she does' club?

As for a winner, I do think Jodie and Ian may have a chance. Polo requires a surprising amount of physical control which may stand her in good stead. The appeal to the public is, of course, a complete wild card, though.

Tom and Camilla or Austin and Erin based really on the fact that I'd love either pro to win this year.

But it's quite possible for a rugby player to do a journey as we know.

Wouldn't mind Jodie and Ian either but as has been said, what appeals to the public is an unknown quantity at this point...

I know what you mean about Jessie and Darren, dark horses win races

Want to see do well without having seen anything:

Brendan & Lisa
Matt & Christine
Camilla & Tom

Would say Darren & Jessie too but am not that keen on Jessie at mo ,this may change once see them in action of course (and usually does!) Would also love to see James go far but not sure how well Cherie will do as anolder competitor...same goes for Don (nice bloke as far as I can see)and I like Lilia.

Browsing through the SCD photo gallery I would like tp see the following in the top four.

Matt and Christine
Vincent and Rachel
Ian and Jodie
Camiila and Tom.

I'd like to think that Anton and Gillian will do well as they look like a good partnership.

We will have to wait and see.

I think Mark or Tom.
I have a feeling we'll have a male winner this year. But Lisa will make the finale too imo.
I do really like Rachel but i have a feeling she'll be more "emma" then "alesha" mainly because i dont think people will "get" her personality.

I want Brendan and Lisa to win or Vincent and Rachel.

But I do agree Rachel might not win and might go like Emma did.

Of the male celebs Camila and Tom possibly.

But I want Brendan and Lisa to win.
