12 volt TV

Our old CRT TV on our canal boat has given up. So we need a new TV to run on 12 volts. I've noticed that many flat screen TVs run on 12 volts via a power unit.
As 12 volt battery tvs seem more expensive I wondered how sensitive the power unit ones would be to voltage change. The TV would not be used with the battery on charge so the voltage would be from say 13volts full charged going down to 11.5 volts as the battery gets discharged.

Would this voltage range damage the TV?

Same query for set top boxes.

Thanks Frank

Easiest solution is use a regulator for the power to critical things like TV's, STB's etc...

You could then use the TV when the battery is on charge or running low, the regulator would keep the TV happy.
