Hi all
Fell upon this wonderful forum while looking for help with my global loftbox.
My problem is, is that the fm has stopped working from the loftbox! This only happened when i decided to replace the sky box with a cable box,!! the only difference is that there now aint a cable from the sat point in the livingrooms multi service wall plate.
Is there any kind soul on here who could tell me what might be wrong.
Thank you.
Max.

You have checked the obvious I assume, your FM aerial is still where it was and plugged in?

Yes, i replaced the fm aerial and cable thinking that was the problem.
But i know it is the loftbox because i replaced it with another one and everything was fine for a week and now the fm is down again

Hi
Its a tv link loftbox by global. the 8 way version.
Forgot to mention, as well as the fm not working, 4 of the 8 outlets have packed up too (top 4)
everything was working perfectly until i took out the sky box and replaced it with a cable box.

Have you tried reconnecting the Sky box, just to rule out a faulty loftbox or incorrect setup?

does a cablebox put out any power from the rf s like a skybox?
maybe its sending up power to the loftbox and frying it!?

Shouldn;t do. If it is sending any power on the RF then it shouldn;t be frying the loftbox, if it is then it's faulty. I doubt this is the case anyway. I'd be more inclined to say that due to some loopback issues with the Sky box the FM signal was greatly improved. With just the FM aerial the performance has dropped.

Try bypassing the Loftbox and outlet plate and see if the FM aerial does do what it's meant to. None of us can see what the problem is from here, you need to just go through everything and eliminate things first.
