MMS on Virgin Mobile
Does anyone know when MMS will be available on the Virgin Mobile network? I would like to get a picture phone but I like the service provided on Virgin Mobile so I would prefer not to leave it if possible.
Also does Vodaphone or any other networks offer MMS on their Pay-as-you-go network? |

All the 4 networks (O2, Orange, Voda, T-Mob) offer MMS on PAYG. On O2 you can buy pre-paid packs of MMS messages (and text messages) which represent some saving but only if you use them all.
Virgin - I remember reading something in a recent mobile magazine saying it was coming by the end of the year. GPRS too. |

Ok thanks very much. I'll buy my camera phone soon and wait for the service to come live, or maybe get a sim card from another network and just use it for MMS messages till Virgin's service goes live

MMS ist the greatest thing ever to exist.
GPRS is needed to send MMS so it would be difficult for 'Virgin just to flick a switch so users could send MMS but not use GPRS. |

So do you think it's not worth getting a picture phone?

I can't make a new topic right now, because I just signed up, but need help!
This is my first phone (Samsung V200), so bare with me if I'm asking oh-so-easy questions. I just need some help relating to this sort of stuff, and I'd appreciate it if some of you helped me: 1. I just installed the EasyGPRS, but it said to locate the Samsung modem, but since I couldn't find it, I just clicked cancel and let it carry on. Whats so special about this Samsung modem? 2. How do you connect a data cable from the V200 to the back of the PC? Where on the back of the PC? 3. Is it possible to upload your own custom-made background images/screensavers? If so, how? 4. If anyone has an V200 on the Orange network, how do you get rid of the annoying start-up rubbish? Looking forward to your replies. |

When i asked virgin about MMS and GPRS , quite a while back , i was told virgin currently belive MMS and GPRS were to unreliable so the would not be launching them until they could offer a fully working service.
I was also on o2 and the MMS on there was unreiliable! sometimes messages just did not get to where i sent them , hopefully when virgin do introduce MMS and GPRS it will be at a competitive price!
