Dont really follow the chart, cant remember the last time I saw TOTP.
Hopefully it will be the darkness, but are there any other new releases out this week in competition. BTW is Bryan Adams still number one with that song from Robin Hood,

Let's hope The Darkness don't start celebrating too soon!
Last week it looked like rachel would be number one, so on the Saturday she got the CD:UK number one. Until Sunday........................when she charted at number 2 !!

I'd like to know his source too, as I work with and have sources throughout the record industry, and they say the midweeks are more like:
1. The Darkness 2. Elvis Presley 3. Black Eyed Peas Mark

interesting...
does anyone know if the featured singer Shena on the Jurgen Vries song "Wilderness" is the same Shèna who had a top 40 hit in 1997 with her cover of "Let the beat hit 'em"? |

However, insiders make there own 'predictions' and publish them on various messageboards. however, for some reason SKY are allowed to publish the midweeks(or rather, end of weeks) on Friday, 2 days before the official charts are released. You can find them on sky text page 727. BEP's are now back at number one though in that chart. which matches the list posted by Nevavda.)

Firstly Louise was released last week and made number 5. Expect a hefty drop this week though. Cd:uk is actually based on midweek data from either wednesday or thurday, I can't remember. This leads to a relatively accurate chart next to Sunday, although there can be discrepancies. As far as I know, midweek data can be printed, but not sales data. Try posting them on a website and they tend to get deleted pretty quickly. As for the SKY midweeks or end of weeks. These are not actually based on sales. I believe there is an airplay element as well because they only ever provide a guideline to Sunday's chart. Sometimes the number 1 is different too. For anyone interested in charts, a good site is the message boards on dotmusic. |
