area codes

i was just wondering if anyone else had had a problem were the local landline area codes come up on the main screen an is there a away to get rid of it??my phone is a samsung s300.

Its not a *problem* its a feature put into alot of phones as sum operators (vodafone used to) charge different rates for calls within your current area code, for which its helpful to know which you are in!!!

Cant remember how to turn it off on this one though.....

From memory it is in the text messaging menu and either called 'cell info' or 'area info' either way just set the option off.
