Go here and click to compare on all the models.
http://www.panasonic.co.uk/html/en_G...sCategory.html 8 is the set aimed at the supermarkets to hit a price point 80 is the first FullHd set from Panasonic in 42" worth looking at better screen than 8. 85 has a higher quality screen, better sound and nicer styling than 80. 800 has much better sound than any other 42" and better screen/styling more inputs. 81 is styled like 80 but all black, has FullHD video playback from SDHC card slot as does 800. Also has Freesat built in which also means it has a LAN socket for future iPlayer, youtube connection. Image reproduction is also better than the 80. |

I have the PZ81 (42") and it is pretty damn amazing...
FullHD 1080p native res, 30,000:1 native contrast, 1,000,000:1 dynamic contrast, 24p, xv colour...the works basically Its my first plasma after 3 LCD's and I dont think I'll ever go back |

PZ80 are dropping rapidly in price at the moment. I just ordered the 42" as they just knocked another £300 off the price.
From all the 100+ reviews i read everywhere before buying it there was a very strong theme. The picture quality and lack of motion blur cannot be beaten by a LCD at present. However, internal speakers were good but not brilliant and the biggest problem (if you see it as one) was that the 3rd HDMI socket is located at the front of the TV rather than the rare. |
