Is ITT happening this year?

I emailed the BBC to suggest a repeat transmission of ITT (can never see it as too early in evening). This is reply I got:

Thank you for your e-mail about 'Strictly Come Dancing -It Takes Two'.

Presently, there is no confirmation that this accompanying programme is to return for this year.

If it does then the schedule details will be available on our listings page:
etc

Surely NOT!?

How strange!

Their own website says:

Quote:
“Claudia Winkleman

Backstage mainstay Claudia will once again be bringing us daily news from behind the scenes in Strictly Come Dancing - It Takes Two on BBC Two. Claudia has previously presented Liquid News and Fame Academy.”

Let's hope that is right!

Claudia has mentioned a couple of times that she will be doing another series, so I think it is confirmed... it probably just mean it hasn't been confirmed in the sense that the listings for that week aren't finalised yet.

I'm fairly sure ITT does very well in its timeslot so I think they'd want to keep it.

Yeah ITT gets a good couple a million, much more than anything else in the timeslot does. Can't see them not bringing it back.

Yes, I think that the BBC just sent back a very feable and unhelpful reply to me. Having looked at the BBC SCD webpage they are indicating ITT is coming back.
Don't know why I even wasted my time emailing the BBC in any case.
I'll just have to bunk off work early to see it!

Realistically I think it's on at the right time too - by 18:30 most people are home from work and it's easy to fit into the schedule there because they have a consistent half hour slot. No moving it to different times, just chuck out the quiz show or whatever they normally put there and they've got the schedule sorted for the next three months. It also hasn't got massive competition from things on other channels then.

I doubt they'll repeat it because it will most likely go up on the iPlayer.
