I've just moved into rented accomodation. I ordered a BT line about a month ago so it would be ready in time for when I moved in last wednesday (this was agreed when I ordered on the phone). I kept trying the phone all day but all I got was 'the number you have dialled is not recognised'. So phoned BT fault line the next day who put me through to customer services. Customer services put me through to another service department. The lady there said this was the broadband service department so put me through to another customer services department. The lady there finally said the order hadn't been completed so finished the order and said it will be ready on monday (fingers crossed!).

Just been looking at my phone socket and it is a master socket (with the surge supressor etc.) but has 2 sockets. Is there any chance BT would fit an NTE5 socket so I could get one of the lower faceplates with built in micro filter for ADSL? Or are they likely to charge for this? Also is there even any benefit in getting one of these faceplates if I have no extensions running off the socket?
