I was just watching Something for the Weekend and Simon Rimmer made Teryaki Beef. These were seared and basically rare. Good stuff
Amanda Hamilton, who was a veggie but has started eating meat, said that she wouldn't try it because it was rare and that she was moving slowly into trying meat dishes.
I recall that a few months back they had Steak Tartare and she flatly refused to try that.
Anyway, I was wondering about veggie throughts on eating meat. I would have thought that having the meat "Au Naturale" would be a good starting point instead of tough, overcooked meat.
I was brought up on tough, overcooked food, any trace of pink in beef or lamb wasn't tolerated and it was only in my teens when I started to eat steaks medium rare.
I'm dissapointed now when I have a steak that is overly pink.
