Siemens SX1 - Another Delay!

After being told that the Siemens SX1 was launching on Orange first in August, and then September, I've now been told by Siemens that it won't launch until December earliest!

Why can these companies never choose a month and stick to it.

Why complain?

It is obviously good for the phone if they are hanging on and probably improving it + correcting faults.

OK, it is frustrating, but for the better!

True, but its annoying when your given a launch time and it ends up 4 months later and even then its not set in stone.

I accept that it could be for improvements, but also in these case it can be down to marketing.

This is why companies usually won't give release dates. I fear the SX1 will be out of date by the time they get it to the streets. SonyEricsson have the replacement to the p800 due around that time, and Nokia probably have something due too.

I would prefer a bug-free version to be honest, I can and will wait for it, as I will not buy a Nokia.

pixelgd, you don't give a source for that? The truth is the only release date Siemens HQ seem to be giving is Q4 for Europe and Q1 for US, but some regional Siemens have given Novemeber dates, and some December dates. I think it is just a case of wait and see (and save up).

There have been murmours that it was delayed because of Nokia telling Siemens that they had to wait until the 6600 came out. Most likely untrue, but still....
