I recently purchased a Samsung DVD/Video Combi from Currys.

During playback of DVDs, the picture is fine.

During video playback however, and I only bought the machine for Video playback which means it isnt connected to the aerial, since I have a DVD Recorder connected, theres the Samsung Logo floating across the screen in the background whilst tape is running.

Although it is faint, it is noticeable and a nuisance.

Any ideas anyone?

Sounds like you need better screened SCART leads - they don't need to be expensive though, just individually screened, and better than what you have. You might even be able to cure it by swapping your existing leads about.
