Software Updates on DT16300
Gravyboy

Hiya everyone!

I have the above, but it seems perpetually stuck on v2.81. I've tried the "Force Next OAD" and it just pops up "Pass" - then nothing seems to happen.

It's really bugging me now as I've hit the "rescan issues"...

I know I can force a complete reset, but I want to explore all avenues before that point (besides getting everything onto DVD/VHS).

Hope someone can help me...

Thanks in advance

Matt

How long have you had the DTR?....there's been 4 updates since then I think

When it says PASS...leave the DTR in standby....it may take an hour or so for it to happen.

About a year - it went from 2.44 to 2.81 and has stayed there ever since. The green "update" light has come on (many times on different occasions), but no update has been downloaded. I've also done the MuxD>Help>Force OAD>Standby on many occasions...

Hey Matt, in which menu are the 'force next OAD' and 'complete reset' options.

hit the buttons in the sequence listed below..

1/ Menu
2/ Set up
3/ Help
4/ 1,3,9,7
a new menu appears, scroll down to the second off last item and press OK. now put the unit into standby for the OAD to happen.
For the factory reset....
Get into the help menu then press green and you will have three options on the bottom of the screen
red Factory reset
yellow software revert
blue Format HDD

Hope that clarifies matters
