BB4 Result....Gutted!!!
I can't believe Jun won.
Alison was BB4, she was a target for other housemates but won competitions when it mattered to stay in. Her diary room comments alone should be out on DVD, great entertainment. That's the problem with the USA version, it's decided by the losers. Alison was never going to get Dana & Nathan's votes, I was very suprised by Jack, Erika and Robert though, particularly with Erika's comments they showed during the rest of the show.. The final winner should have been decided by a phone poll of the viewing public, not by bitter losers. Alison, should you ever read this, you're the winner in my eyes!! |

He did
But it still resulted in a very poor ending to a horrible idea for a show. It just cannot be right to encourage these types of behaviour. |

Even if there was a public vote, Jun would still have won!

While it was entertaining to watch the housemates reaction to seeing the entire series on tape - it made for a poor ending when they didn't congratulate the finalists.

I would also agree with the post that the final show was very much a let down, with no atmosphere, most of it was devoted to the losers rather than interviews with the winner and runner up who the show should have been about. There was no atmosphere, they should have public involvement like the UK version. |

The least worst person won
From the moment Alison started sleeping with some of the guys even though she knew her boyfriend would be upset by it, I didn't want her to win. There are names for women who sleep with men to get money, but at least those women do it for a living & take plenty of flak for it instead of trying to justify their actions by bleating that it's just a game, as Alison kept saying. Fair enough, she won competitions, but I'd have had more respect for her if she'd taken her boyfriend's feelings more into consideration instead of repeatedly pushing them to one side. Strategies are one thing, but cheapening yourself so publicly is another. Alison's boyfriend sent in a message to her via Julie which ended with him saying she continued to amaze him - I suspect he can't believe the levels she stooped to, especially when she wasn't certain to win in the end.
Jun & Alison both made very personal comments about the other contestants (several of the other contestants did that too). However, Jun would have got my vote because she did it to everyone but drew the line at doing certain things, whereas no level seemed too low for Alison. Also, Alison got so carried away with talking about the others that she seemed to forget they'd have the final say in who won. No-one likes hearing someone repeatedly call them names, say they're more intelligent, make personal comments about their families etc. I'm glad Alison didn't win, especially with such a decisive vote. However, Jun should take no joy in that because the other contestants made it clear in their statements and by their behaviour at the end that she won because she was the lesser of two evils, not because she deserved the money. I think she got the point, judging by her face at the end. I guess there's a lesson in that for us all. |

I also think if the rather gullible Nathan had seen the BB tapes before voting rather than after voting, jun would have had a 7-0 victory instead of a 6-1 one.

Alison deserved to lose - what a vile, unpleasant human being. Jun wasn't much better but if Alison had got the money a serious injustice would have been done
isn't it amazing how disgusting people will be to each other for a bit of cash eh? |

Were they shown the diary entries before or after they voted?
I got the idea they saw them before which is very silly if true. |

They were shown clips after they voted to add insult to injury for some of them.
What an atmosphere when Jun won!! None of the HM's seemed bothered, and weakly clapped... they were all quite clearly pissed off that Ali and Jun had played the game the way they did, and got away with it! quite bizarre! |

Alison was recognised as a strong player and was frequently a target, yet when she had to, she won the veto competitions to keep herself in. Jun just seemed to follow Alison's lead, rather than come up with strategies of her own and as she said herself, her best move was aligning herself with Alison. I don't think Alison actually had sex with anyone in the house, but the purpose was to go in and win $500,000, Alison did whatever see could to ensure she stayed in. I think it was Jee who asked about playing the game honourably, what a stupid question, the honourable players lost. If honourable players were meant to win, there would have been more rules. At least the US contestants didn't go on about how they were in it just for the experience as many of the UK losers did. |

Jun aligning herself with the stronger/strongest player whilst keeping her head down & doing the cooking was a good strategy in itself.
As for Alison sleeping with at least 2 of the guys, it wouldn't matter how much money was on offer - if I had a partner who could get upset by me just being in bed with the guys never mind getting up to swervy-swervy with them, I simply wouldn't do it. If she & Donny had agreed beforehand that sort of behaviour was acceptable that would be different, but her own comments and his said that wasn't the case. Jee was right when he spoke about honour, but I think that was more directed at Jun who was worried about what her family would think of her behaviour. You're right about the US v UK situation - openly discussing strategies and wanting the money was one of the few honest things about the US show. |

Jun didnt have a strategy and just ended up in the final. I doubt anyone who voted for her likes her. I actually think they liked Ali better as a houseguest, but possibly were angry she had outwitted them. Thats the way BB USA goes. Someones got to be evicted and someone will be in the final 2 and you can make it quite easily by being a complete idiot. There is nothing to admire in Juns gameplay cos she didnt have 1 particularly. Also, all her "farewells" were insincere and usually had some sort of personal quip that I always took as an insult. Shes a strange girl and not good to be around. But Jun did nothing but cook and eat. Her game plan was to keep a low profile which worked very well, I don't dispute. At least the US contestants didn't go on about how they were in it just for the experience as many of the UK losers did. I dont think cooking was part of her strategy or played any part in the way the votes went. She cooked and ate for something to do. Ali outsmarted Robert and Dana, the 2 who felt they had lost face the most. Both of them thought they were good at manipulating people and they didnt like it. Only Nathan voted for the one who played the game best. If Robert and Dana were in the sequestered house then those 2 probably continually went on at the others to vote for Jun cos they are bitter. Theres not really much to be learnt in tactics from BB USA. You can be a complete idiot and win. |

Goddfella, after some good analysis also wrote: "Only Nathan voted for the one who played the game best."
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ I personally feel that Nathan voted with his head - only it unfortunately was the wrong one! At the Sequester House he was anxious to "get it on" with Ali & therefore his vote for her was more of a refection of his goal to win her "vote" in this same fixated hope after BB4 ended. IMHO Nathan was/is, by far, the dumbest of all of the 13 BB4 HGs. |

ah well, we got you to give an opinion KS
I actually think Nathan was possibly the smartest. I read he would change his vote now he has seen Alis DRs. She was really stupid with the Drs and her trashing but in Alis case it could be amusing (to me) and also I just dont think she is mean whereas I think Jun is and she is also deluded. Its hard to choose who would have been an acceptable winner out of that lot. I would probably plump for Jack but maybe Nathan My 12 in order of least detested would be 1. Jack 2. Nathan 3. Michelle (childish and bitter and needs help if she still fancies Dave) 4. Ali 5. Erika 6. Jee 7. Dana 8. Justin 9. Amanda 10. Robert 11. Dave 12. Jun |

I pretty much agree with your list, except Erika would be much more hated on mine for her very racist comments about Jee. He was much more forgiving than I would have been about it.

I don't think anyone can automatically assume that Jun would have won in an audience vote. In fact Ali was leading in the CBS website poll question of who would win 55%-43% over Jun with over 31,000 votes cast.
