Pizza cheese (Where's it gone?)
Continuing the pizza theme. Who buys a pizza, chilled or frozen, then finds that there is only a slight sprinkle of cheese on it? I actually buy a block of cheese to grate some on myself. Does anybody else do that?

Buy a Pizza Express pizza (they are the best). I did this on Monday. A Pizza Express Sloppy Guiseppe. I added some sliced pepperoni, some cubed mozzarella, some jalapenos (from a Discovery jar). I shook over some dried oregano, then put it in the oven. Once cooked, drizzle with garlic oil, shake over some freshly grated parmesan, some black pepper and finally garnish with some torn fresh basil leaves. |

You can get bags of "pizza cheese" from the supermarket. It's a combo of mozzarella and cheddar.
Don't know about you but our house only stocks bright orange cheddar and it doesn't go well on pizzas or for cheesy chips, so the pre grated mozzarella gives you that takeaway feel

I like pizzas with less cheese. When I share one I always have the half with less cheese.

I buy the Pizza Express pizzas when the supermarket's doing a deal, which makes them quite reasonable.

I don't like Pizza Express frozen pizzas, perhaps it's just me but you might as well make your own the amount of stuff you add to it.
I did once try to make my own, but I just couldn't shape the dough very well and my tomato sauce ended up a bit runny. Maybe I should try again Essentially you could buy anyones margarita pizza and add to it. I just find the Pizza Express ones to be the best. |
