After installing iTunes 8 i was half way through the latest update for the ipod touch (2.1) when suddenly the Vista BSOD came up.
After that i could no longer connect the ipod to the PC without BSOD coming up.- the ipod was on reset mode so all i got was the itunes USB icon you get when you first buy the device.
i eventually found a solution from the ipod touch forum where you unnstall the new apple device manager and install the old itunes version 7 manager.
Trouble is my ipod touch is still version 2.0.2 and it wont update because it thinks i have a older version.
i have seen this problem coning up alot today on google but no resolves
