So I bought sausage and beans for lunch..
and now I feel sick...
As I was cutting through the sausage the meat was a tad bit pink but I ignored it and carried on eating so I guess it's my fault. But surely the guys who cook food for us to eat should be making sure it's cooked before they serve it to us? Would you mention it next time you visit that cafe? or is complaining to the person who makes your food a very bad idea! ![]() PS sorry about the ridiculous amount of silly topics I'm creating today I'm just a little bored... |

UNless it was a chicken sausage I don't think the "pinkness" of the meat is an issue at all...

You've not considered that you've just eaten far too much, I don't suppose?

Do you mean those tins of beans and sausage together? Because TBH, I'm not entirely convinced they actually contain any meat.

no no no, just ate at a regular cafe... sausages were served seperately. I was just giving an example... my question really is would you complain if you thought the food you had eaten had made you sick?

yes you're right. I don't think I'd want to risk them spitting in the next pasta dish I order...

I think the thought of the pinkish meat has made you feel sick. My wife is fastidious about undercooked meat, and would probably throw up if she ate anything which wasn't carbonised. I'm not particularly bothered unless it's chicken.
I doubt a cafe will doctor your future food because you complained - you can just be nice about it, maybe even ring them just so they are aware that they need to be checking their meat is cooked through properly. If you check next time and food is still undercooked, maybe it's time for a new cafe. |

Why go back there if you think the food is dodgy?

saliva would be the least of your worries!
![]() Could be, Squibble... as I was eating it I thought ,' I hope this doesn't make me sick' and it did! lucky me... Eternal life, I've ordered food from them before, mostly pasta. I don't tend to order meat. This is the first time it happened but I'm not sure I want to order meat again because of it... |

I wouldn't say anything as it was probably fine - if you're there again and notice it then take it up to them and nicely say you don't think it's cooked enough.

its not McDonalds, im sure if you ask nicely to a waitress they will go and sort it out.
Its just the chefs that may spit or something. Just ask nicely with a smile. If it happens again dont leave a tip. |
