Stolen Sat Nav

Had my Satnav stolen today, won't bore you with the details but just wondering if the personal pin number I put in can be broken or the unit de-programmed or whether the little scrote got away with £160 pounds worth of Tomtom for nothing?

Depending on the make they are suppose to prevent the thief from accessing it. That said I had a pin setup on my TomTom 720. It crashed and I had to restore using the SD card slot. Once it was all back there was no prompt for the pin number. So if the little so-in-so knows what they are doing they've probably scored.
