Does anyone know how to get this TV into the Service menu??? After Sales Support were of little help, the first time I called they claimed that Tevion don't have a 19" TV with that model number. I again tried later (more charges to my phone bill) and NOW they belive me as I mentioned that I bought the TV from ALDI, however none of their "technical staff" had any idea what a Service Menu was , let alone how to get into it!!!???. I've even tried an e-mail to Tevion's support site...As yet no reply.
So if anyone out there has a clue, PLEASE help me!

Why dont you contact the suppliers helpline number for that set
Its on the box, instruction manual & the rating plate at the rear of the set.
You can also e mail them at twc@goodiesenterprise.co.uk

You have been trying Aldi's own helpline, rather than the actual suppliers?

I was using the number on the box which is also on the front of the User Guide, so, as stated they were of little help. Tevion has still not responded to my e-mail.
I want to set the default aspect ratio to 19:9 (FULL as the user menu calls it) instead of 4:3. Anything on the scart input resets the aspect ratio to default.....EVEN wehn the external unit has just changed channel or dropped into an advert session then returned. If the switching signal is slow in being sent or interuppted, BING! the set drops into4:3 mode and you have to press menu 3 times, scroll down and change the aspect setting, then menu to clear the display....Damn annoying and time wasting. If I could find out who actualy makes the TV I could probably get the info I require, as it is, Tevion use many manufacturers and they are reluctant to pass on any info. Oh BTW the manufacturers help line number and contact details are NOT on the set I have anywhere I can see. Serial/Model No. plate for the set I bought says TEVION as the manufacturer.

OK,
I understand your problem, & I will try and help.
I am in the industry and should be able to find out whether you can "lock" onto full screen.
I have seen this before on 32" sets and was eventually cured by software upgrade by Mstar (who designed the mainboard inside)- Your set was assembled in Germany, but originates from China, where they dont have this amorphous issue with fluctuating aspect ratio on their broadcasts-

Regards
Phil

I wonder if that software upgrade would work on this set?....thanks for giving me another tack for my search.
