i would get a better one than the ones in argos.
Get, a large in car MP3 stereo with 25 disc changer, Twin boombox's and shelve speakers with over 500w output, a blueshark amp ffilling the whole boot and a large LCD Touch screen. A Snip at £4,500 |

What are you looking for, an MP3 player, a CD multichanger, or a MP3/DAB system?
If you want a DAB digital radio, the Goodmans looks good, and good value for money, too. I have a Goodmans MP3 head unit for the car, and it is excellent !!!!!!!! It even has a remote control. (It was sold in the last Argos catalogue, but not now (I don't think)) Hope this helps! GDB2freeview

dont belive that free fitting, if your car needs a fascia adpater or awirign adapter (the majority do) then you will ahve to pay for that & car head units literally jsut click in & out
i wouldent touch a head unit that does nto have at least two pre-outs to run external amps (the 4x45rms rating is a pure & simple lie on any head unit avalable) btw stay away from sony, there home gear is alright but there car stuff is rubbish i rate blaupunkt head units /me strokes 8 year old blaupunkt cd head unit that is still beating modern units on sound quality & feature count dont put speakers on yoru rear shelf it will mess up your sound stage www.cauaudiodirect.com is a good place to get car hifi (jsut check you dotn need any specialist adapters or wiring for your car, my pug did & literaly eveyr car ive helped install on has needed adpaters of some sort www.talkaudio.co.uk is probablyt he best place to ask car audio questions (there are people liek the owner of genesys car hifi on there, the owner of bbg, the distributor for jl & the owners of the uk's loudest cars & the best sounding) |

what id do if it was me & what i am doign is
save up for a amp, get a pair of focal or dls compnents from www.caraudiodirect.com but dotn install them until you have a amp as head units are well crap for running anything other than oem speakers, as ai said that whatever x4 rms rating is awork of fiction (i have a pair of boston rc-61's 6.5inch component speakers that i am gonna make a custon door pod for the doors in my car so i get hte best soundstage & im gonna run them active & am savign up for a dls a5 amplfier) liek i said sony kit aint the greatest so dont buy sony speakers & no 6x9's eather my car lost a arguement with a hgv, a week or so ago |

trust me there nto brilliant compared to what you get for the money, best bet is go to a dedicated car hifi shop, have a listen to some, mabey a set of MB quartz or focal or diamond audio
then buy a pair you think sound good, take them home keep them in the box, then save up for a decent 2ch amp (mac audio produce some good cheap amps) or mabey a 4ch amp so you cna run a sub at a later date then fit the speakers & amp all in one go, thats what im doing liek i siad hang about on www.talkaudio.co.uk as you will pick up allt he tricks that dont cost you anytihg but make your hifi sound better |
