I see there's a new version out now (£5.99) and I'm tempted seeings as I didn't go for the January one (£12.99)?

So anyone have it yet? Is it worthwhile? and how much memory will it take?

Yep, its fantastic. Much more stable and everything loads much quicker. the Appstore is great too along with the new Genious playlists feature and the Mail and Maps apps.

You only pay if you have not already upgraded to 2.0. If you have 2.0 then it's a free upgrade. It's worth the money IMO.

So I effectively get 2.0 and 2.1 for £6? Sounds like a bit of a bargain to me!

After reading the total mess the version 2.0 update made of many iTouch owners machines I've delayed updating mine from 1.5.

It really put me off updating seeing that Apple caused so many problems to their own customers' iTouches. Can I now safely go ahead and upgrade to 2.1 and have Apple now got their uprade right or is it still too risky

Works like a dream now. Seriously.

The app install times are much much better, and the overall UI seems to be more responsive.

Apple doesn't charge if you have 2.0 already because they acknowledge that they kind of screwed up version 2.0.x so they had to give 2.1 free to keep existing customers happy.
