Just got a new Samsung LCD 26" TV, and am using it with Sky digital. I've noticed that there's faint parallel vertical lines of interference, mainly noticeable against dark backgrounds. Wondering if this is a TV problem, or maybe the Sky setup?

Could be poor shielding on the scart lead.

Try replacing the lead, you don't have to pay the earth for one, just make sure it's fully shielded, individually screened if possible.

Thanks. I'll try that.

One other thing that may be causing the interference could be a cordless phone, do you have one near the box?

Yes I do. I have the mains charger for the phone positioned 3-4 feet away from the tv, and also the actual phone tends to be a few feet away also.

Try moving the phone away first before buying a new lead, unless you have a spare lead to hand.
