I would love John to win. Good on him for taking part. i just hope the judges dont make a show of destroying or humiliating him for the sake of entertainment.
It's weird, dunno if I was the only one that got this vibe, but I think Cherie is Jame's ideal celeb partner.
When they first met you could nearly hear him say "well bang goes my chance of the trophy". But after training he was eating out of her hand practically, and bringing out his nice side.
There seems a real friendship growing there, and that means a lot to the fans too.
I think John or Phil could be first guy to go out, in the Ladies first one out could be between Jessie and Cherie...I hope I'm wrong as I like James and Darren, it would be a shame to lose either so early on.

Doesn't it all depend on where they finish on the leaderboard? In every series of Strictly so far, the bottom 2 in the first week are usually the 1st, 2nd or 3rd couple from the bottom. So we can't predict who's going to be the first one out until we see what the judges make of them. Even seeing them dance (e.g. on ITT) won't be enough - at this early stage it'll mostly depend on how they are marked relative to others.
John doesn't seem a good bett, Cheri however looks like a game lady. But looking at the lineup this year the average age has rocketed! What does this say about the show?
I fear Phil D will go first as he wont be terrible enough to get 'he's so funny when he dances, keep him in' votes, but also will not be fantastic either. Hopefully I'm wrong.
I thought Cherie looked pretty fit and she said she dances at every opportunity, so I don't think she'll be first out, sounds like her heart and soul is in it already.
Imo opinion not a hope in hell .
Not because I don't think they'll be any good but because of what I believe is the blatent ageism on TV & in the general voting public
However I do think they will be dignified & gentlemanly/ladylike in all their endevours.
