I just think it is a shame the BBC didn't plump for someone less like Kelly because comparisons are inevitable. I would have liked to have seen Brendan paired with an older woman as it would have been more interesting.

Yep, I think the pairing is a mistake tbh. Although I had a feeling it would happen when I saw the list of celebs.

I would have put him with Cherie.

Yeah. I think it'd have been better for Brendan to have someone like Cherie this year rather than a famous model again. They really like plumping up the showmance factor with him but his problem is that he doesn't play it down.

I think he might this year because he seems really serious about Zoe

It is the tiresome "will they won't they" angle that they seem desperate to promote on shows like this, Big Brother etc.

Cherie would have been my choice, but I think she and James make a great couple!

It would have been lovely to see more of Brendan dancing and less of him flirting and, as Len would say, "mucking around". He is a great dancer after all, but all the other nonsense seems to get in the way.

The formula is boring and its tired. And the BBC is as bad as he is because they seem to encourage it!

I hope so. I think the roles are switched in this partnership.

I've never seen BNTM but got to say, I didn't take to her - and I think that could be the editing teams fault - I just couldn't help wondering why, in the 45 second trailer where we see them all the first time, they felt the need to have fleeting glimpses of her in between the other celebs - like a kind of subliminal advertising, every one else just had the camera flash and that was it. So I was biased against her straightaway, just because I found that an irritant. And on last nights show she reminded me of all the bits I disliked about Kelly.

Well I'm going to wait untill we've seen more of her. How can anyone judge after only seeing her for about 5 minutes?

The only thing about her that really struck me was that I thought she looked a bit too tall to be partnered with Brendan.
I know they like giving him a bit of totty to dance with, so that they can play up the - yawn - "I'm a lothario, me" angle, so I suppose that's why they paired them up. But why not partner him with someone who won't make him look shrimpy?

The only thing I knew about Lisa Snowden before this competition was that she used to go out with George Clooney. And lo and behold she mentioned it herself, while pointing out that it was a long time ago. Why mention it at all, I wonder?
Probably so that Tess can make some sort of George vs Brendan clumsy comparisons before we all get too much older, I suppose.

I think Lisa is lovely. Very vibrant and seems up for the challenge. I just don't like Brendan at all....he really gets on my nerves
